History
Ekeria: a software company driven by a passion for innovation
Ekeria is a Milan-based software company specialized in providing businesses with innovative software solutions that boost productivity and optimize operational costs.
Since its foundation, born from the vision of Massimiliano Barone, Ekeria’s goal has been clear: to simplify business digitalization by supporting companies in optimizing their Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service processes.
Technology is in our DNA and lies at the heart of everything we do. At Ekeria, we deeply believe in the power of shared passion: we seek and nurture that passion in every new talent that joins our team.
It’s been several years since we completed our first software development project for our very first client. Back then, we had no success stories to tell, but that initial trust in us was more than rewarded. Today, that client is not only a case study, but a true partner and friend.
Since then, many companies have chosen Ekeria, allowing us to grow continuously, year after year. We dedicate the same care and attention to every project, no matter how big or small, because for us, delivering software solutions means truly believing in the value they can bring to our clients.
In 2021, we became an official HubSpot partner—one of the most widely used and appreciated CRMs in the world—further strengthening our ability to support business growth. In 2023, we acquired Hoida, a vertical software specialized in Field Service Management. This step, along with numerous other strategic partnerships, now enables us to offer our clients the most high-performing and innovative technological solutions available on the market.
Naming
How was the name Ekeria born?
When choosing the name of a new company, it’s not always easy to know where to start. You need both inspiration and clarity, because names are not just words: they reveal the essence and value of what they represent.
Names can be descriptive, evocative, or entirely invented. In my case, I was about to found a software company, driven by the desire to dedicate myself to something I deeply love and by the motivation to help many deserving businesses that had yet to fully express their potential.
The keyword that guided this search was “opportunity,” or more precisely, a “good opportunity.” In Ancient Greek, this expression is translated as Eukairia, a word also found in the New Testament. With just a few small changes to make it easier to pronounce and to check domain name availability, “Ekeria” was born.
Ekeria thus represents a good opportunity for me, for everyone who works with us, and above all, for our clients: a real opportunity to grow, innovate, and achieve their most ambitious goals.

The Meaning Behind the Ekeria Logo
A logo is a fundamental element of any company's brand identity. Creating one for a start-up—or redesigning an existing one—is no small task and requires a significant amount of time. It must convey the company’s values, align with the historical context, and be recognizable, versatile, simple, and original.
A mix of many elements began to emerge for Ekeria's logo during the market research phase and the exploration of how we wanted to differentiate ourselves from competitors.
On the very first sheet of paper, I started writing down all the elements I wanted the logo to contain:
