Renew the site and create a reserved area
SENP Association Website Renewal
The client already had the site on the WordPress platform, so we decided to keep the same platform for the renewal of the website, one of the key activities of Ekeria, expert in the creation of sites and the renewal of existing online realities.
We held several calls with the client to understand the site layout and the look they wanted it to have, in order to define which path to take.
In particular, we have developed the reserved area for users who register on the platform dedicated to industry specialists. Inside, in the area dedicated to those who purchase a membership, there are documents and information materials regarding the latest conferences.
Manage the flow of registrations and payment of fees with Wordpress
To manage the entire registration process for the members section, we used a series of internal WordPress plugins.
We have set up the registration management flow so that for each new member the committee has the option to accept or reject them.
The user has two options:
- purchasing a package that automatically renews every year
- purchasing a package that covers membership for only one year
Both options allow access to reserved content regarding the latest conferences held.
Since these are paid subscriptions, the platform works like an e-commerce. For this reason, we used the Stripe plugin to extend Woocommerce, a specific Wordpress integration dedicated to e-commerce. In this way, payments can be made directly from the site, using the Stripe API.
Adapting the site association to different devices
We worked to ensure that the association website was responsive. This means that it adapts to the device on which it is used, whether it is a computer, a tablet or a phone. It is extremely important that a website is responsive. In fact, if it were not, it would risk losing visitors and potential members, precisely because many people today surf the internet via their phone.
The results achieved with the SENP association website
The association has renewed its online presence with a site more in line with their image, easy to navigate and with an area dedicated to registered users. The committee can manage the registration requests, deciding whether to accept them or not. In this way it has control over the entire flow of user registrations, from acquisition to maintenance.
Each member has access to the reserved area and can pay and renew their membership directly on the site, where they can also pay for individual membership packages. In this way, they can access content regarding the latest conferences held by SENP.
