Renewal of the cultural site: Certosa di Milano
Give a new look to their online representation
We got in touch with the client following their need to renew the website that represented the reality of the Certosa di Milano. The goal was to make the site a showcase focused more on the artistic and cultural side of the monastic complex. Furthermore, it had to be easily traceable and navigable by users.
Renewing a website is an important step to stay up to date both in the eyes of web users and in terms of search engines. In fact, the latter value much more sites that are updated, fast to load, well-functioning and well-built in terms of tree structure.

Renovation of the Certosa cultural site
The client already had a site on WordPress, so we decided to keep the same platform for the renewal of the cultural site that represented him.
First of all, we defined the structure of the site, choosing to focus the structure on a more historical and cultural aspect rather than on the reality strictly linked to its being a church. In deciding the structure of the site, we also took into account the need to simplify the navigation menu, making it simpler and more intuitive for users.

Adding photos and videos
We paid particular attention to the inclusion of photos and videos that show the most interesting cultural and historical aspects of the Certosa di Milano site. These are fundamental elements for the typology of showcase sites, to which the Certosa belongs.
We worked to ensure that the images and videos were of excellent quality, while maintaining a certain lightness. In this way they do not slow down the loading time of the site, a fundamental element in the evaluation of the authority of a site by search engines. Furthermore, a site that takes a long time to load the pages can lead users to become nervous and abandon the platform without having navigated it.

Adapting the site to different devices
Another important element to take into account is the fact that the platform adapts to any device from which the user decides to navigate. This is an extremely important factor. In fact, simply a site that can only be navigated from a computer and not from a phone would lead to the loss of a large amount of traffic.
A responsive site, therefore, is a site that adapts to the size of the screen on which it is used. We have repositioned the elements for every possible device, so that it is not only aesthetically beautiful and functional, but also easily usable from each of them.

The results achieved with the renewal of the cultural site
Certosa di Milano now has a website that represents not only what it does, but also all the historical and cultural baggage of its reality. It is an easily navigable, responsive site, aesthetically in line with the idea that the client had.
